Mr. Ranjan Bhattacharyya

Dr. Ranjan Bhattacharyya is a Consultant Neuro Psychiatrist based in West Bengal. With over a decade of experience, he currently is available for consultations at the Remedy Polyclinic (Kolkata), Ranibagan Medical Centre (Berhampore), Sonoscan Clinic (Malda), Chikitsa Clinic (Baruipur), and Doctor’s Clinic (Bagbazar, Hooghly). He is also a designated Assistant Professor for the Government of West Bengal.

Dr. Bhattacharyya obtained the MBBS degree from Medical College, Calcutta; an MD in Psychiatry from the Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education & Research (IPGMER) in Kolkata; and, a DNB in Psychiatry from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. He has also undergone specialised advanced training in epilepsy management, bipolar disorder and OCD/drug de-addiction, at the American Academy of Neurology, Johns Hopkins University and NIMHANS Bangalore, respectively. In addition, he is currently pursuing a PhD in child and adolescent psychiatry. His main areas of specialisation include neuropsychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, drug abuse, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression and psychiatric counselling.

Dr. Ranjan Bhattacharyya has over 10 of his articles published in indexed national journals, and five articles in international journals. He is a regular participant in radio and TV programmes related to mental health and psychiatry, and is often quoted in newspaper articles on these topics. He has participated in various international conferences, including events at Tashkent, Seoul and Bangkok. He has also organised numerous camps and mass awareness programmes, and been invited to speak at over 100 continuing medical education (CME) programmes.
